Summary of our Privacy Policy
Parkster processes personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our services to users. We do not sell personal data, and we do not permit our processors to use the personal data we share with them for any purpose other than performing services on our behalf.
What personal data do we process and why?
Identity and Contact Information
Name, address, personal identification number, phone number, and email address.
We process this data to:
- identify you as an account holder,
- carry out credit checks where necessary, and
- process payments for the services you use.
Your phone number and email address are also used to contact you when necessary.
Vehicle Registration Number
We use this information to identify the vehicle for which parking has been paid via our services.
Geolocation Data
We use location data to help you find parking spaces near you.
If you use our “Overpayment Protection” service, this data is also used to determine whether you have left a parking area by vehicle and, if so, to notify you of a potential overpayment. This functionality relies on Android’s “Physical Activity” feature and iOS’s “Motion & Fitness” feature.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
When you enter into an agreement with us as a user, we process your personal data as necessary to perform that contract.
When you contact us, we process your personal data as necessary to respond to your request.
If you have given your consent to receive communications, we may send newsletters and updates via email and SMS.
If you have not provided consent, we may still send certain communications where this is necessary based on our legitimate interests, following a legitimate interests assessment. This may include, for example, updates to our terms and conditions that we are required to communicate.
How is your personal data stored?
All personal data is stored within the EU/EEA or in countries that ensure an adequate level of protection in accordance with decisions of the European Commission.
How long do we retain your personal data?
We retain your account data for as long as you remain a customer, or as long as required by applicable law (for example, accounting regulations requiring retention of invoices).
If you request erasure of your data, you will be informed about which data can be deleted immediately and which must be retained for a certain period.
