“In 2006, I got three parking fines in one month. The first time, I wandered around looking for a parking meter that I just couldn’t find. The second time, I was stuck in a meeting that ran over time. And the third… the hours simply slipped away. That last ticket on the windshield was the final straw. How could something as simple as paying for parking be so complicated?
With my background in technology, I started thinking. What if there was a simple, smooth way to manage parking – right from your phone? Something accessible to everyone, regardless of technical know-how or location.
Together with two fellow students, I built what would become Parkster. We developed everything in Lund, and the service soon began to spread. Today, we’re present in over 450 towns and cities in Sweden and more than 750 in Germany and Austria.
It all started with frustration, but it has always been about making everyday life easier. With our focus on the user, we continue to do just that.”
